Robert Chang Chien (張簡長倫) is an internationally award-winning film director, creative lead,  interdisciplinary artist, designer, educator, and the founder of Studio Salix White. With a dual background in Architecture (NCKU) and Information Experience Design (Royal College of Art), Robert’s practice resides at the intersection of cinema, space, and emerging technology.

His work explores the ephemeral nature of memory, consciousness, and perception, spanning high-impact narrative films, music videos, immersive XR, and multimedia installations. From directing fashion films for London Fashion Week and the international immersive touring project Narstalgia, to his critically acclaimed documentary Ambiguous Borders, Robert’s vision has been showcased globally—across London, Paris, Tokyo, Melbourne, and New York.

An experienced director, photographer, and educator, Robert mentors thousands through his cinematic color-grading courses and workshops. Driven by a passion for cross-cultural storytelling, he has travelled 30+ countries, using poetic visuals to create multi-sensory experiences that connect and heal on a global scale, while continuously exploring the transformative possibilities of the Cosmos with Generative AI.

       張簡長倫 (Robert Chang Chien) 為旅英台灣導演、影音製作人、科技藝術家、跨領域設計師與教育者，15年影音專業經驗，旅行足跡30國，現為白柳感官設計有限公司創意總監。畢業於英國皇家藝術學院(RCA)資訊體驗設計所動態影像導演組碩士、成功大學建築所設計組碩士，擅長探討並具象化無形事物，如記憶、超越性、總觀效應、幸福與感知。創作媒材跨攝影、電影、建築、動態影像、互動裝置、空間投影、VR/XR與沈浸式體驗，研究核心圍繞哲學、符號學、心理學與宇宙科學；作品曾於倫敦、紐約、巴黎、東京、雷克雅維克、台北、光州、墨爾本等地展出。

近年以導演身份活躍國際，帶領跨國團隊執行眾多高規影音專案， 作品類型有劇情片、紀錄片、MV、廣告、時尚影音、XR (混合實境)、沉浸式電影等。曾任電影 《Fish in The Moon 月球裡的魚》 導演，講述記憶、夢境與現實交織的童年創傷和解旅程，於光點華山影院放映，超過千人觀影。曾參與多屆倫敦時裝週擔任ApuJan品牌影音導演，內容提供Vogue及ELLE等高端時尚媒體，與百位藝人有合作經驗。近期擔任多語發音的國際紀錄片 《Ambiguous Borders 虛實邊界之聲》導演，拍攝橫跨瑞士、德國、奧地利等歐亞多國，於台灣國家兩廳院首映、公視與Taiwan Plus播出；長期研究鄉痛(Solastalgia)等環境心理現象，整合虛實混合製作技術，擔任導演並主創 《Narstalgia 角鯨之殤》 沈浸式電影獲多國影展肯定，已陸續於英國、日本、韓國、台灣、冰島、澳洲等多國展出，逐步擴大國際影響力。

攝影方面，多次獲PX3與IPA國際攝影獎共數十個獎項，舉辦創作個展《 Flow of Aura 靈光之流》 、出版暢銷攝影集 《Misted Essence》，受邀刊登於Somewhere Magazine、If You Leave、Oh Comely、Photo Vogue等國際平台及出版物。教育方面，受邀至十多所大學與教育部美感創新計畫演講並擔任評審，於數位教育平台 Hahow好學校 主導設計 《攝影創作-調出電影感色彩》 課程，累積兩千多名學員付費參與，長期致力推廣跨領域藝術設計教育，重視學員的國際思維、前瞻性與獨立思考能力。國際交流方面，曾於冰島視覺藝術家學會(SIM)進駐，期間親自與冰島總理會面、拍攝火山噴發、冰川消融與極光攝影紀錄片；亦曾於東京、巴黎、紐約、墨爾本等城市進行多次創研進駐與新媒體產業訪問交流。

張簡導演因具有探險家般的好奇心、熱情與執行力，長期與跨文化團隊協作，對跨域媒材進行跨維度探索及實踐。從二維的繪畫與攝影，三維的空間建築，四維的沈浸式電影、混合實境與生成式AI應用，直至多維的宇宙。期望藉藝術設計的能量療癒世界，並持續拓展影像、藝術與科技跨域的無邊界可能性。
